The Carousels
The Carousels were formed in 1976 predominately as a beach music band, but later became a
variety and dance band.
The Carousels consist of Keyboards, Drums, Bass Guitar, and Lead
Guitar with the state of the art sequencing techniques.  As a four member group, each member
sings lead and back-up harmony.
The Carousels have performed on stage with many legends
such as
Percy Sledge, Clifford Curry, The Platters, and the late Joe Pope of the Tams.  The
Carousels
have also played all over the east coast at beach music festivals with some of the
areas great regional bands to include,
The Band of Oz, The Embers, The Shakers, Billy Scott,
The Drifters,
and The Ricky Godfrey Band.  In 1983, the band was nominated as the best new
group of the year at the Beach Music Awards Show.  The band has become more popular today
and in the fall of 2006,
The Carousels released their first CD entitled, "Living On A Good
Thing
" recorded at Oz Music Studio by KHP Productions (Keith Houston).  Two of the songs
on the CD entitled,
"Living On A Good Thing" and "You've Got Me Working Day & Night",
have made it into The Surf 94.9
"Hall of Fame".
