with many legeneds such as
Percy Sledge, Clifford Curry,
The Platters,
and the late Joe Pope of the Tams.  The
Carousels
have also played all over the east coast at beach
music festivals with some of the areas great regional bands to
include,
The Band of Oz, The Embers, The Shakers, Billy
Scott, The Drifters,
and The Ricky Godfrey Band.  In 1983,
the band was nominated as the best new group of the year at
the Beach Music Awards Show.  The band has become more
popular today and in the fall of 2006,
