| Wayne has been playing bass guitar since age of 15. Although he enjoys playing drums and guitar, he has stayed true to his primary instrument. His major influences include James Jamerson, Stanley Clarke, Getty Lee, and Victor Wooten. He spent the 80s playing rock and roll, sharing the stage with bands such as Nantucket, Sidewinder and The Tubes. The 90s had Wayne performing with the house band at Whichard's Beach, JD & The Rockerfellows. From there, he played Praise and Worship in a local contemporary church before joining Sammy OBanion & Mardi Gras. Wayne has spent the last few years playing country and southern rock with the Killin Time band. The Carousels have given Wayne the opportunity to return to playing his true passion Motown, Beach and variety dance music and he looks forward to playing many years with the band. Wayne works in Telecommunications at CarolinaEast Medical Center. He holds an Electronics Engineering Degree and a Cisco Networking Certification. He lives near New Bern with his wife, Deanna, and son, Tyler. His oldest child, Jennifer, is currently attending college.
